ESTECO and CPOMD are proud to announce the 5th edition of this important biennial event. The year 2012 marks the tenth anniversary of a journey which ESTECO embarked upon in 2004 and whose past editions bear witness of the global character of the initiative, with more than 400 users coming from over 50 countries all over the world and more than 100 speeches and presentations.

modeFRONTIER 2012 Users’ Meeting is an event offering much more than just an update about a software system’s development.It is a unique forum where you can discover how engineering and academic experts apply the latest optimization methods and techniques, learn about the many different applications of modeFRONTIER coupled with other software modules across a wide range of high-tech industrial sectors and share views and opinions with other participants from all over the world.

Topics in the previous UM agendas include:

• rationalization of the designing process;
• product optimization in terms of technical requirements and also of process, product and marketing metrics;
• applicability and reliability of decision-support IT tools in a context of diverse goals, experience and approach, whether professional or managerial;
• parallel engineering and design organization in industrial networks, with suppliers increasingly involved in the process.
