Ganz Benedikt
Dr. B. Ganz finished his Diploma in 1995 at University of Karlsruhe, Germany, in mechanical engineering with focus on turbo machinery, fluid dynamics and computational methods. He added his Ph.D. at the Institute of Thermal Turbo Machinery at University of Karlsruhe.
In 1998 he got to Daimler AG in Stuttgart, Germany. Since that time, several computational fields has been crossed by him. At the beginning 3D CFD using StarCD and KIVA for incylinder processes like gas exchange, injection and combustion. Furthermore 1D simulation (GTPower) and also several inhouse 0D models like combustion and emission models, 0D/1D catalyst models for exhaust gas aftertreatment modelling and control unit models for use in the predevelopment phase of engine powertrains. He coordinated and participated at several EC funded projects (e.g. MinKNOCK). Since 2003 he is manager ‘development of new computational methods’ and in-between ‘Calibration’.
